CLASSES FORMING NOW FOR OBEDIENCE, BEGINNER AGILITY, RALLY & BREED HANDLING. We once again welcome all breeds as well as mixed breeds to our training sessions for Obedience, Rally and Agility.
CLASSES ONGOING MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING:
4 KIDS ONLY - (Ages 8 - 16) . Let your child train the family dog. Course will require child to practice daily at home for the best results. Basics in obedience will be taught such as to come when called, walk nicely on a leash and not pull, sit and sit/stay, down and Down/ stay, stand/stay for brushing and examination and introduction into the world of Rally and more.
RALLY - TWO DIFFERENT SESSIONS TO CHOOSE FROM. This class teaches obedience skills and works on teamwork between you and your dog. A fun class that you can also earn titles in. This is one of the AKC's newest competitive classes. This class prepares you and your dog as a team to complete a numbered course with 10-20 signs of different obedience exercises.
BREED HANDLING. Learn how to present your dog in the conformation ring to his/her best advantage in this class. Good for beginners, puppies and young adult dogs.
OBEDIENCE - BEGINNER: Basic commands are taught that strengthen the bond between owner and canine companion. Teaches the most important of obedience exercises needed to enjoy a happy, healthy mutually respectful relationship between you and your dog. Basic commands learned include walking nicely by your side, Heel position, sit, down, come when called, walking with distractions, attention and the stay command. OBEDIENCE - ADVANCED: Improving on the basics learned in prior classes. Getting more precision in training. Heeling, stays from a distance and out of sight training, distance recalls, depending on what level class you are in, earning titles with your dog in competition- we train Novice through Utility work, scent discrimination, Go-outs, Dumbbell work, Drops on recalls, signal exercises. Jumping. Improve on skills for your dog to be a most amazing and talented dog at home or in a show.
CLASSES ONGOING WEDNESDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING:
AGILITY. Our instructor teaches this in a fun way slowly teaching step by step conditioning and body movement to get your dog to move out on its own to each of the exercises. Control while the dog is moving at a fast pace through each of the obstacles is taught to maximize attention. Whether it is weaving through poles, balancing on the teeter totter, climbing the A-frame or walking the dog walk, or going through chutes and tunnels or jumping through a tire, accuracy is important in this class along with speed. You will be working off lead for most of the training. A great fun class to be in, Juniors aged 12 years old and up may participate in this class also. There are numerous levels in Agility to look forward to at our club.

Our club will be hosting an AKC Obedience and Rally Match "Show & Go" on February 25, 2012. MIXED BREEDS WELCOME!!!!
Schedule as follows:
- Entries Begin: Obedience 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM & Rally 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
- Fees: $10 / $6 re-entry
- Judging schedule: 9:00 AM for Obedience and 1:30 PM for Rally /Judging Order: UT/OP/NOV for Obedience and EX/ADV/NOV for Rally - Beginner Novice will follow Novice classes.
